Jute is a natural fibre with a golden and silky shine and hence called the "Golden Fibre". Jute is long and soft and at the same time, strong and durable. It is also quick drying, so you wouldn't have to worry about exposure to water.
 
The biggest reason we, at Hands of Bengal, love jute is because of its environmental benefits. Jute fibre is 100% bio-degradable and recyclable and thus environmentally friendly. A hectare of jute plants consumes about 15 tonnes of carbon dioxide and releases 11 tonnes of oxygen! Jute also does not generate toxic gases when burnt.
